A pregnancy companion built by the people who run the scan clinics, for the families who walk into them.
Why we built it
Pregnancy is one of the most heavily marketed moments in anybody's life. For decades the way you got a free pregnancy app or a bounty of samples in the UK was to hand over your name, your due date and your address, and let them travel somewhere you could not see.
We thought a pregnancy companion could be the opposite of that: something genuinely useful, made by people who see expectant parents every day, that earns its keep by being good rather than by selling you on.
Window to the Womb clinics have been scanning UK families for years. The Parent Room grew out of that: the same care, in an app, for the fifty weeks between appointments.
What it does
- Meets you where you are. Join at eight weeks or twenty-eight and the journey starts from your date, not from the beginning of a book.
- Keeps your scans safe. If you have scanned with Window to the Womb or firstScan, your images and appointments appear in your account automatically.
- Brings your family in. Invite a partner or a grandparent, and decide exactly what each of them can see.
- Remembers things for you. Photographs, letters, names, kick counts, appointments and the small moments you will want back later.
- Stays calm. No countdown timers, no scaremongering, and at most a handful of notifications a day, most of them because a real person did something.

Who checks the content
Everything we publish about pregnancy, scans and early parenthood is reviewed by qualified midwives, sonographers or the Window to the Womb clinical team before it goes out, and it is reviewed again as guidance changes. We follow trusted UK sources, including the NHS, NICE and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
None of it is medical advice, and none of it replaces your midwife or your GP. It is there so that you walk into your appointments knowing what to ask.
What we will not do
Four promises, written down so you can hold us to them
- We never sell your personal data.
- We never share it with data brokers or lead generators.
- We carry no third-party advertising or tracking software.
- We never collect a consent on another company's behalf. If a brand wants to reach you, you choose that brand, one at a time, and you can change your mind.
Our app is built so that health information cannot reach a third-party analytics tool even by accident. Our privacy policy explains exactly how, and we publish our Legitimate Interest Assessment in full, which almost nobody does.
